Twins Days All-Stars! Submitted by Chris L: "Twins Days All-Stars" the 2008 Twins Day Festival theme will be held Friday-Sunday, August 1-3, 2008. This festival began as a celebration for our country's bicentennial in 1976 and has grown to host more than 3,000 sets of twins, triplets and quads in its more than 30-year history. The festival features a golf tournament, chuildren's field games, welcoming weiner roast, baloon rides, a "Double Take" parade, twins contests, talent shows, entertainment, fireworks and more. Our family attended the festival yearly from 1985-2000 and in 1995 my brother/sister were crowned king/queen of the festival. Many years our family added a few days to the weekend and made it a mini vacation visiting Cedar Point, Geauga Lake, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and other Northeastern Ohio attractions. One of my twins' fondest memories was when the Cincinnati clubs gathered and walked in the parade together holding a banner that read "TWIN-CINNATI" made from Bengals and Reds fabric. The festival is more fun if several families stay in the same hotel. If you plan to go, make your hotel reservation early.
